Our one year training for hairdressers begins with Hairdressing Essentials - you'll earn the New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing Salon Support (Level 3) which takes you from complete novice to technical level, capable of earning your place in a successful salon.
You will also be able to continue your studies with our Level 4 Hairdressing Emerging Stylist course.
In Emerging Stylist there will be a focus on cutting with scissors and clippers, advanced colouring, foiling, colour correction, chemical straightening and advanced consultations.
You’ll be immersed in the different techniques for cutting, colouring and styling. Put all your skills to the test, practicing in our on-site salons to build your confidence and creative flair.
Learn initial barbering techniques to complete haircuts and barbering services, and provide client care and advice.
Our dynamic programme combines the classic barbering skills of clipper, scissor, and razor cutting with street savvy taper fades, line-outs, cut-throat shaving and current colour trends.
In just two years you’ll go from total novice to an industry qualified stylist, with extensive experience working on real clients.

Learn the basics of cutting, styling and colouring, along with the communication skills and the technical know-how to put it all together.
Hairdressing Emerging Stylists Level 4
The real-world environment of this final qualifying course will help you develop your creativity with new approaches to cutting, colouring, and styling.
