“The unique features of this course are the qualifications you can achieve, NZQA National Certificate’s in Beautician & Nail Technology, CIBTAC- International Diploma in Aesthetic treatments and/or Make-up artistry plus ‘Young nails’ Certification.
At The College of Beauty Therapy, our nail technicians work with the world renound Young Nails brand of products. As well as gaining National Certificate in Nail Technology (Level 4) you will also achieve Professional Certification as a ‘Young Nails’ trained nail technician.

Duration:
30 weeks (4 days a week, 9am-4pm)
Course content:
- Professional Conduct
- Business Awareness
- Spa Manicure, Spa Pedicure
- Filing and Finishing, Enameling
- Depilatory waxing
- Eye and skin treatments
Electrical facial treatments include:
- Ultra violet & Infra red
- Faradism – Iontophoresis
- Vacuum suction & Galvanism
- Micro-current (non surgical facelift)
Nail Technology includes:
- Liquid & powder enhancements
- Organic resin enhancements

Tips, Blending and mixing of colours
Make-Up Art includes:
- Cosmetic science
- Anatomy of bones of head, neck and face
- Skin care & skin analysis
- The colour wheel and use in make-up
Qualifications include:
- First Aid Certification
- Certificate in Beauty Specialist (Local)
- NZQA National Certificate’s in
- Nail Technology & Beautician (National)
- CIBTAC – Diploma in Aesthetic Treatments (International)
- ‘Young nails’ certification
- ‘Cuccio’ Spa manicure
- ‘Cuccio’ Spa pedicure
Course fee includes:
$6500 (student loan available to cover course fee if eligible)
