The Hairdressing Academy has been running for over 45 years. The College of Beauty Therapy and The  School of Make-Up Art Technology, are separate divisions of The Hairdressing Academy.
            
We are a Private Training Establishment, registered and accredited by The New Zealand Qualification Authority and Tertiary Education Commission.

We offer NZQA registered and approved courses in Tauranga and Hamilton. All courses are approved for student loans and allowances. Our qualifications range from NZQA National Certificates   to International Diplomas.

Within our specialised industries - we are internationally accredited by a selection of the most prestigious International Qualification Award Bodies in the world.

This ensures all qualifications are recognised worldwide, and regarded most highly. Our consistent involvement in local industry enables us to assist suitable graduates with a range of employment opportunities.

Industry awareness locally and internationally, ensures that our courses are structured to include skills and training, most relevant to the demands of modern industry.

Our talented and established teaching staff, range from International Examiner for London City and Guilds, to a published author of ‘The Standards of Hairdressing in New Zealand’.

Our participation in The New Zealand Body Art Awards in 2006 and 2007 has seen our amazingly talented ‘Hair and Make-Up Art Technology’ students take several awards in a range of professional categories.

It is our passion and honour to develop and mould Hairdressers, Nail Technicians, Beauticians, Fashion, Film & Television Make-Up Artists, and Holistic Body Therapists.
